In 2021, my husband and I moved to a home by a river, surrounded by woods. There’s a tiny cabin near our house that has become the work-in-progress offline studio for my art.
My journey as an artist, small business owner, and job creator has shaped the path I’m on today. My job titles have changed over the years, but being an artist has always defined who I am. I’ve been drawing since an early age, but I didn’t start painting until I became a young mom in the early days of the internet. Those years were incredibly exciting, as learning from home became more accessible.
Since then, I’ve become a “serial course-taker,” exploring a wide range of media and techniques. My dedication has led me to spend countless hours creating and refining my work. About five years ago, I decided to focus on creating works I could complete more quickly, allowing me to become more prolific. This shift led me to discover a love for art journaling and junk journaling.
My art combines my love for painting with my fascination and passion for magical, wild, and whimsical things. I enjoy expanding on fairy tales and storytelling through my paintings, bringing to life curious and fantastical journeys.
In this next chapter, I’m excited to join the online art community that has given me so much. I’m looking forward to giving back by mentoring other artists at the start of their journeys, as well as more seasoned artists seeking to bring fun and purpose back into their work. My goal is to foster creativity and share the joy of discovering creatures and stories hidden in nature, the woods, or by the sea.
